Jerry is a sports and remedial massage therapist.
Jerry has wide ranging experience in treating and preventing injuries from a range of activities from archery to Zumba. He has treated international athletes from climbing, Team GB cycling, diving, football, hang gliding, tennis, and track and field athletics. He has provided massage for Premiership and lower league football clubs and went to Morocco in 1998 to work at the World’s Strongest Man competition. He has worked with actors, dancers and musicians performing at Sheffield Arena, City Hall, the Crucible and the Lyceum, including touring with Riverdance. He has attended people with medical conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis and spasmodic torticollis, as well as many stroke patients. Amongst his regulars are people who get neck, back and shoulder pain from working with computers, as well as other work related conditions. He was a founder and tutor at the Sheffield School of Massage and mentors students from Derby University Sports Therapy course in Buxton. He has been interviewed about and demonstrated massage on radio and TV. He is first team masseur at Hallam Football Club. Jerry is a member of the Sports Massage Association (gold level) and the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage.
Jerry played rugby for many years. He enjoys walking in the Peak District with his wife Anne and their four daughters.
